what NOT to do on an airplane

Thanks to USA Today for this story...not good for Jetblue either.

The teen accused of being drunk and urinating on an 11-year-girl on a JetBlue flight may lose his dream of competing in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia as a result of the incident.

The teen -- 18-year-old Robert "Sandy" Vietze, of Warren, Vt. -- was on the Wednesday flight because he was returning to Vermont from an Oregon training camp with the U.S. Ski Team.

He is reported to have admitted to police that he had consumed eight alcoholic drinks before boarding the redeye flight from Portland, Ore., to New York JFK. During that flight, he is accused of stumbling toward the back of the plane and -- not realizing he hadn't made it the whole way to the lavatory -- urinating on a sleeping girl.

Now, it appears his behavior on the redeye flight has resulted in his dismissal from the U.S. Ski Team's development squad.

"Based on the information we have, Sandy Vietze is in violation of the USSA code of conduct and team agreement, and has been dismissed from the team," U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) Executive Vice President of Athletics Luke Bodensteiner says in an email sent to The Associated Press on Friday.

With that, the New York Post writes Vietze "may have blown his chance to compete in the 2014 Winter Games in Russia."

Vietze had been nominated to the Olympic development team earlier this year based on his performance as an alpine skier at the prestigious Green Mountain Valley School. AP says tuition at the highly-rated Vermont ski academy and high school "runs as much as $42,384 per year."
